A new life begins for us all, but for Dad, a new adventure!

Yes we had some miraculous things happen in those 4 days that gave us comfort and courage to let him go, but I won't share those here.

Know matter how many times I say or write the below, it will never seem true.
My father has passed. I won't say 'dead' because I know he lives in heaven.
He was taken from us in a second of time. In the silence of the evening, when we rustle around home readying things for the next day, he went to be with Jesus.
How could this be. We just spoke and hugged and laughed together! Were there signs and clues? Yes and no I suppose. None of it matters now.
On July 18th, dad went to the emergency room at Saddleback Memorial with an abscessed tooth. They checked him in and put him on pain killers and antibiotics. The next day a doctor looked at him late in the day and said they would pull the tooth Sunday, July 20th. The evening of the 19th he visited with Mom and then told her to go so he wouldn't worry about her getting home safely. A few hours later the nurse was doing her rounds and found him not breathing. They resuscitated him, but he was already gone. It took 4 days to confirm he was brain dead.
On July 24th, we gathered around his hospital bed, held his hands and said good-bye to this great Man of God.
Yes we had some miraculous things happen in those 4 days that gave us comfort and courage to let him go, but I won't share those here.
Dad spent the majority of his as an evangelical pastor. He and my mother traveled the United States during the 70's as the 'Baird Gospel Puppeteers' proclaiming the gospel to children near and far.
I am blessed to have been raised in such a family. When that day comes in heaven for us all to stand before the Lord and our works are put thru the fire, Dad will have a crown of gold and many jewels for the work he did for the kingdom.
Before my Father died he had vision and asked my mother to type it for him. He told her it would be lost if they didn't do it right then (Dad was legally blind and couldn't do it himself).
We believe the vision is what happened to Dad when he passed away and our Saviour met him and guided him into the splendor of heaven.
If you would like to read the vision I would be happy to email it to you. Just send me a note.
In his memory, I have created a site for him at: http://www.http/robertbaird.memory-of.com/About.aspx
The vision can also be found on that site. Email me if you have trouble getting on it to. They have trouble sometimes.
Until we meet in heaven dad... I will watch out for mom, your princess!
