SAHM I AM - For Now Anyways

What is a SAHM? It stands for Stay At Home Mom. Never have I understood the meaning of those words until now.

How did I ever have time to work, shower, brush my teeth? My hat is off to all you women who can rustle a toddler, do the dishes, laundry, grocery shopping, cleaning and have dinner on the table for your man when he gets home. This is a tough job. Forget looking good while doing it!

Yes, it is a delight to be home with my son, who is sick often, which is why we pulled him from daycare and is with me full time. (I was laid off in November)

My son climbs and runs and stands at the door repeating walk, walk, walk when he just can't be inside one more minute even if it's pouring down rain outside. He is a very good and loving child, but he has so much energy. This is going to get some taking used to.

Did you know children, your own flesh and blood whom you birthed, will KICK, BITE, HIT and PULL YOUR HAIR. Did you know this???? My precious little baby does this to me when he gets mad.

Have you ever tried to discipline a toddler??? Have you? Do you know what they do?
They LAUGH at you!

Seriously, if I don't stop him immediately from acting out, he acts like I'm crazy and has no idea why I'm upset with him. I actually have to call in the big guns (DADDY) and even that doesn't work sometimes.

This weekend I'm heading to IKEA for a time out chair (and maybe some colors and cool little gifts for him). I'll show him whose boss!!
